CodeRED Police Emergency Notification System

The Huron Police Department has contracted with CodeRED®, a web-based Mass Notification System that enables the Police Department to make time-sensitive announcements in a rapid, reliable, and cost-effective manner. This service replaces DeltAlert® - if you signed up to receive DeltAlert messages you do not need to sign up again. CodeRED® provides an optional public opt-in portal that allows citizens to add their phone numbers, email addresses, and other pertinent contact information to receive police-related emergency notifications such as crime alerts.

CodeRED® provides a separate service from the city's e-Alert system which is used to notify the public about snow alerts, weather-related cancellations, street closings, etc.
